Smokey John`s BBQ in Dallas

Service was exceptional! Service alone, I'll go back. Not used to Texas Bar B Que. I'm from Michigan we have different pallet for BBQ yet the ribs & brisket was tender & seasoned meat off the bone 😋 BBQ sauce was even tasty. Wasn't a fan of the corn bread or banana pudding. Otherwise awesome!

Their fried fish and loaded baked potatoes are bomb! Definitely worth the wait time. The owner came out to check on us which was also really nice.

After a long two days me and my mom finally made it back from Houston and went straight here! I had two meat plate (Ribs/Brisket) with Mac n cheese/Beans/Collard Greens. This food is amazing! You can eat the meat with or without sauce and that is a great sign! Sides were tasty 😋 Will definitely be back very soon to try other things on the menu! ❤️

We were visiting from Florida and this place was definitely a highlight during our trip. The meat was well seasoned and fall off the bone delicious. My 5yo said the sausage was a little spicy but it was still good to eat...lol...which is a huge deal! We met one of the owners and he was awesome! Definitely recommend this place is you are in dallas!

This place is a hidden gem. I’ve lived nearby for years and never heard of it until recently by word of mouth. Since then I’ve been going almost weekly and have tried different times on the menu. Smoked chicken and ribs are my fav, but can’t really go wrong with whatever you get. Also the staff and efficiency is top notch!

Ordered take out of 3 meat smokey plate. Delicious!Meat fell off the ribs and was super flavorful and moist.Ham was great. Sides great! Peach cobbler delicious!Definitely reorder from Smokey John's.

I ordered the rib sandwich and a turkey sandwich,this barbeque joint never fail me on the wonderful smokiness of the barbeque it's never over powering seasonings just right.I absolutely love this place.

Yummy BBQ and awesome staff

This is one of my absolute favorite places in Dallas. Amazing food, great service every time and I just love the owners. My favorite thing to get is their 2 meat plate. So much food! I also love their brisket queso which is only available on Thursday and Saturday. Their banana pudding is freaking delicious and so is their peach cobbler. They're doing to go, curbside and delivery. If you want some good bbq this place is a must! They don't just do bbq well either. All of their sides and specials are like going to your family's house for Sunday dinner. Good ol home cooking.

The owners that are brothers are friendly and down to earth. The staff is awesome and attentive. The food here is awesome and I suggest you try it. You will not be disappointed.

I was actually disappointed with the meal I ordered today 7/17/2020. I ordered a baked potato that was dry all around. I chose sausage as the meat, it was tasty. It really is a shame. Had the potato been fresh I would give a 5 rating. Whoever made it HAD to know it was unacceptable.

The brisket BBQ shoebox lunch was exquisite! Rarely do I enjoy the meat even more than the sauce—and, I appreciate supporting a fellow small business. Thank you! It’s awesome. I highly recommend them. (Would have taken a photo, but I ate it too fast).

Super long wait and the line moves sooo slow. They raised the price of the sandwich plate by $4 which is a total rip off considering the fact that the portions are small . I definitely won't be back. 😑

Ribs, collards, mac n cheese, peach cobbler delicious. Take out was fast. Masks, 6ft markers.

Let me tell you, Smokey John makes some damn good BBQ with some pretty delicious side dishes as well!The folks here are incredibly hospitable, I asked for a recommendation on what I needed to try as a first-timer from out of town, and soon enough I was sampling all the delicious meats, which didn't help because sure enough I wanted everything!I had to go with the Big Smoke plate with Ribs, Brisket, Sausage, and Ham (don't sleep on the ham, people often overlook the ham as a BBQ meat, but I'm telling you, give ham a chance). All of them delicious, my favorite were the fall-off-the-bone ribs. For my sides I got the Cabbage and the Mac and Cheese, which looks great and tastes even better!Smokey John's high Yelp rating is well deserved, the food and the folks here are total 5-stars!

First time visiting Dallas and trying this place a few weeks ago. Everything was great. The customer service was superb and the food including desserts was amazing (The only exception being the cornbread). Definitely recommend this place and I will be back!

I’m still looking for the right word to express how good this food was. The best food experience I’ve had in a long time. Whew I can still taste it! My God!
